star-wars-battlefront-2

Unless you’ve been digging through an interview on The Verge, you may or may not know what’s going on with EA and Patrick Söderlund, a long-time EA executive who was just promoted to EA’s chief design officer. With his promotion also comes a seat that’s already on fire due to the Star Wars Battlefront II controversy that led into some other EA high-profile titles and even some non-EA titles that have caught the attention of lawmakers around the world due to loot boxes being viewed as a form of gambling.

Lets be completely honest about this: I love Titanfall 2. So-much-so that I own it on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. To me, it is by far one of the best velocity-focused FPS titles out there and may ever be out there. Respawn drove it home the moment they released Titanfall 2 and displayed an assured fact that they had learned from Titanfall by making it an console exclusive. Let alone did they learn from that, they also learned from the fact it had not a single drop of campaign, and that it didn’t float well with fans.

dead-space-2

Known for their outer space sci-fi horror series Dead Space, Visceral Games studio has been one that seemed to have a lot of promise, and potential with the series. They were eventually moved on to work on titles such as Battlefield: Hardline, Dante’s Inferno, and an unreleased Star Wars title, which would be something along the lines as the Uncharted series. However, according to EA’s Vice President Patrick Söderlund, the studio is being closed down.
