Terminator: Resistance update released ahead of PlayStation 5 version

If you haven’t had a chance or idea that Terminator: Resistance is out on consoles, well, you have a chance to enjoy it with an all-new update ahead of the PlayStation 5 version of the game. What comes in it? Well, a decent amount of stuff actually. Let’s take a look.

In a surprise release, Teyon, the team behind Terminator: Resistance seems to be preparing for something big, which could include the games’ upcoming Infiltrator Mode as well as the upcoming Terminator Resistance: Enhanced Edition, which is set to launch on PlayStation 5 on April 30th, 2021.

The new update, however, is a bit of an odd one. It’s the second update the title has ever received on PlayStation 4 at 6.3GB. A fairly large update just simpy titled “version 1.02”. The new update adds in support for three languages, improved A.I. and general fixes and tweaks for the game.

However, that’s the weird part: That’s all the update notes have for it. So what exactly is going on? We have very little info about that, which honestly, makes it a bit tough to figure out what’s happening to the game. Our best guess? Next-gen upgrades ahead of the PlayStation 5 version to ensure that the bugs are all kinked out before it drops.

Terminator Resistance: Enahnced Edition will feature a large batch of changes including unlocked framerates (up to 60 FPS), better graphics, enhanced load times, and even the Infiltrator Mode. We’re assuming the latter is the large reason behind the update being as big as it is. Our other guess? There were some major bugs they needed to iron out.

Meanwhile, the current version is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One for a rather affordable price for $39.99.
