Fallout 76 fans have only a short while longer as the Wanderers are making their way to Appalachia, preparing to populate the Appalachian Wasteland once again. Here’s what you need to know, especially those brand-new features.
Set to release on April 7th, 2020, the Wastelanders update for Fallout 76 will finally begin to populate the Appalachian wasteland, bringing with them new life, a new main quest, a chance to forge alliances, and even a way to work with factions as they attempt to make Appalachia feel a little more like home.
The new main quest and the revamped original main quest will have players uncover the secrets of West Appalachia, exploring a newly reimagined story that starts from the moment players depart from Vault 76. New and veteran players alike, as outlined by Bethesda, will have a chance to explore all-new locations and fight with or against all-new faces that have made their long-awaited return to West Virginia.
As one of the core elements of this new update will feature human NPCs, players will have a chance to befriend and or betray their brand-new neighbors that are on their way to rebuild Appalachia. With them comes the ability to make critical choices and make decisions that will determine your relationships with those NPCs and or their respective factions.
Alongside choices and reputation, the Wanderers update will also feature new creatures as well as new gear to craft during when the upcoming free content drop launches. The update will remain free-to-play for fans both new and old tot he game.
