DayZ is going free-to-play for its Free Weekend via Steam in order to usher in its 1.07 update, which will see optimizations, bug fixes, and some new pieces of content for fans to enjoy. So, what more can you expect?

DayZ continues to stun fans with its ongoing support that has recently delivered a PlayStation 4 release, the Livonia map, and ongoing updates to add even more content in. To help fans experience an all-new build of the game, which includes bug fixes, optimization changes, and new content including new types of ammo, fans can jump onto Steam this starting Thursday, February 13th, 2020, at 10 AM PST in order to enjoy the game up until Monday, February 17th, at 10 AM PST.

During this time, fans can sneak in a 40% discount on the base game as well as a 10% discount on the Livonia DLC map, allowing survivors to enjoy their experiences well-beyond the Free Weekend period, just in time to enjoy update 1.07, which features bugs, tweaks some gameplay mechanics, and optimizes the game even further. There’s also a new weapon and ammo types just over the horizon alongside the Amusement Parks portion of the map.

So now, you can find out why DayZ won the Better With Friends award over on Steam this past year and well, enjoy some Valentine’s Day fun with your friends, allowing you to take out other players and survive the undead themselves.
