From the iconic creators of the Final Fantasy and Tomb Raider franchises, prepare for one of the most explosive titles yet from the developers at People Can Fly. Here’s what you need to know about the upcoming RPG shooter.
In a surprise announcement today, Square Enix revealed that the creators of the iconic franchises – Final Fantasy and Tomb Raider – have teamed up in preparation for their upcoming title being developed by the critically-acclaimed studio People Can Fly (BULLETSTORM, Gears of War: Judgement) and Square Enix External Studios.
To prepare fans for the game, Square Enix has revealed a bit about their dark sci-fi universe, one where players will often go through shanty-towns of the First City before dashing through the trenches of Enoch, where your player-created Outrider will fight back against countless foes.
Outriders already aims to promise countless hours of replayability when the game launches this holiday for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, as well as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. You can tune in on Thursday, February 13th, at 12:00pm Pacific Time on the Square Enix Twitch to see the official gameplay Reveal Stream with GAme Director Bartek Kmita; Lead Writer, Joshua Rubin; and host, Malik Forte, as they give us the first look at OUTRIDERS later this week.
“It’s incredibly exciting to finally reveal what we have been working on for the last four years,” said Bartek Kmita, Game Director at People Can Fly. “Outriders is our first game since leaving Epic Games, and has grown from an idea of the game we always wanted to make, to the most ambitious project People Can Fly has ever undertaken.”
OUTRIDERS already looks extremely promising and will certainly be one to keep your eyes on as we prepare for its launch later this year.
