SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays has begun to explore deep into the history of the Gundam Universe in today’s latest update, adding Dispatch Mission Set 3 to its available content.
Released today, SD Gundam Generation Cross Rays Dispatch Mission 3 to its set of available content, adding in a mission from the 1997 series, Turn A Gundam, entitled “The Return of Black History Mission.” To get things moving forward, Bandai Namco has revealed that the mission refers back tot he seminal period of the Gundam universe known as “Black History” and features new characters with their own new abilities to offer players.
Those unfamiliar with the “Black History” of Gundam, will find that Seireki is a theoretical result of the timelines merging as seen in previous story arcs in Gundam prior to the Turn A arc. The arch expands across a universe where all technology on Earth and human civilizations in space, except for the Moon, had been destroyed, setting a culmination of mankind’s darkest moments as “Black History”, resulting in a timeline where the world is set to an equivalent of an era comparable to that of Real World 1900s.
As the series continues to span across three decades of lore from the Gundam franchise, SD Gundam Generations Cross Ray will take players through a vast and dangerous history in the franchise. To add to it, there are plenty more missions that come with the Dispatch Mission Set 3, including missions from Mobile Fighter G Gundam, Turn A Gundam, After War Gundam X, and Mobile Suit Gundam AGE.
