In a recent Livestream event, FINAL FANTASY XIV: Shadowbringers producer and director Naoki Yoshida has outlined much of the upcoming content that will be featured in Patch 5.1, including the YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse alliance raid series.
In the most recent episode of Letter from the Producer, Naoki Yoshida, or Yoshi-P as he is affectionally called by the Final Fantasy XIV community, has revealed much of what fans can expect in the games upcoming patch titled Patch 5.1: Vows of Virtue, Deeds of Cruelty.
Alongside the highly anticipated Alliance Raid, ‘The Copied Factory’, which was designed by guest creators Yosuke Saito and YOKO TARO, which will bring together Final Fantasy and NieR in the YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse alliance raid series, we also got to see a bit more about the upcoming changes and additions to the game.
It has been confirmed that New Game+ is on its way, which will allow players to revisit one completed quests from their previous adventures while retaining both their current progression and job level within the game. Alongside New Game+ it has been confirmed that the first-ever crafter and gatherer-focused content piece, the Restoration of the Holy See of Ishgard will debut.
In the Restoration of the Holy See of Ishgard, players will work together to build the Firmament in Ishgard, which will serve as new content accompanied by an extensive system of adjustments and updates to both the Disciples of the Hand and Disciples of the Land. Alongside the new content, players can also take on a brand-new dungeon called “The Grand Cosmos” where they can play together with other players or explore the Trust system even further.
There will also be a new Extreme Trial, a new beast tribe called The Pixies, new PvP updates, new upgrades to the Blue Mage Job (we hear you out there cheering with excitement). The Blue Mage Job will see an increased level cap, new job quests, as well as new blue-mage specific battle challenges as well as content being released for fans to enjoy.
There will also be new job adjustments, Gold Saucer, system updates, and plenty more for fans to look forward to when the update releases. You can check out the TGS 2019 recap for more information about Patch 5.1 today.
