Announced at Tokyo Game Show 2019, FAIRY TAIL is an upcoming JRPG that will follow the spellbinding plot from the story arc, “The Grand Magic Games”. The upcoming title is slated to release on most major platforms.
In a surprise announcement, Gust Studios and Koei Tecmo confirmed that their upcoming title, based on the Hiro Mashima’s series of the exact same name, will be releasing on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, and the Nintendo Switch in 2020. The series will explore the events from “The Grand Magic Games” story arc when it releases, allowing fans to re-live the story that unfolded before their eyes, but this time, under their control.
Throughout their journey, players will take on the role of over ten iconic characters including Titania, Natsu Dragneel, Lucy Heartfilia, Gray Fullbuster, Erza Scarlet, Wendy Marvell, and many more. Alongside these powerful leads, players will be able to recruit their unlikely band of dysfunctional hears in order to create their very own unique adventure set within the world of FAIRY TAIL.
Cast members such as Natsu will be able to engage in fiery and intense magical powers that are brought to life through the environments of FAIRY TAIL, allowing players to see just what kind of powers their beloved characters actually have. You’ll find moves such as Lightning Fire Dragon unfolding before your eyes as Natsu dies in against a foe, allowing him to unleash his most powerful abilities against unwitting foes.
You’ll even find that some of the Fairy Tail Guild members to be at your disposal including Makarov Dreyar as a heavy-hitting support member of the team. As you do work with them, bond with your fellow Fairy Tail’s, you’ll have the option to upgrade your guild, work your way up to raise the Guild Rank, and ultimately become one of the most powerful guilds in all of Fiore.
But you’ll have to wait until 2020 to do so when FAIRY TAIL launches on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, and the Nintendo Switch.

Seems like an ideal franchise to turn into an RPG.
