Little Nightmares II: Enhanced Edition has arrived with all the jumps and scares it has to offer to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S as a free title update to existing owners and an all-new release for those looking to dive into the game.
If you’ve held off on getting into Little Nightmares II, your reason to do so is stronger than ever thanks to the latest release of Supermassive Games’ new-generation version of the game. The newly released Little Nightmares II: Enhanced Edition brings with it all the jumps, scares, and amazingly designed environments to life with enhanced visuals, performance ratios, and more.
To help do this, Supermassive Games has implemented two new modes for new-generation consoles. Those looking to get higher framerates can do so with the game at 2160P and 60 fps with the game’s Performance Mode.
Beauty Mode will allow fans to play the game at 4K resolutions with dynamic resolution at 30 fps with Ray Tracing. Bandai Namco has fully outlined the features for the release of Little Nightmares II: Enhanced Edition out down below:
- Ray-Traced Reflections – Allows any shiny surface to provide a reflection. Its clarity and definition depend on the surface.
- Volumetric Shadows – Increased resolution of volumetric shadows. Light rays are disturbed by objects and characters moving in front of a strong light source.
- Interactive Particles – Particles are more abundant and dynamically affected by Mono, Six and the main antagonists. Particles swim and eddy behind them, creating a more realistic and immersive environment.
- Immersive Audio – New immersive 3D soundscape mix, creating a more involving experience when listening via 5.1 /7.1 audio systems or headphones.
Those who own the PC version will also benefit from the latest update, allowing players on PC to get the most out of their experience and customize it to fit their preferences. Little Nightmares II is available on all available platforms with Enhanced Edition being exclusive to PC and new-gen consoles.
