Earth Defense Force: World Brothers is headed to PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch on May 27th, 2021. Here’s what you need to know ahead of its launch.
If you’ve been wanting a chance to go back at it against alien invaders, now, you can as the latest entry in the Earth Defense Force franchise. Set to release on May 27th, 2021, fans can jump into Earth Defense Force: World Brothers and take on the alien invaders in a voxel-style third-person shooter. The title originally launched in Japan on December 24th, 2020, following a well-received round of applause from fans.
Earth Defense Force: World Brothers will launch on PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. The upcoming title will come packed with EDF fan-favorite features in a 3D voxel art style, including known soldier classes, enemies, and of course, weapons. That also includes each class being able to lay waste to enemies with their own special abilities.
The all-new approach to the series aims to bring in an entirely new market of fans with a fun, new appearance, that comes off as cartoonish, but enjoyable for fans of all ages. The upcoming title will feature both single-player options and online co-op play for each platform. YUKE has confirmed, however, that the game will not feature online cross-platform play.
The game, however, does feature to-play split-screen multiplayer on PlayStation 4 and LAN co-op options for Nintendo Switch. Not a bad deal in such a large package.
