Fans of the Shin Megami Tensei universe can prepare for another release with Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD this May. Here’s what you need to know ahead of its upcoming release.
In a surprise announcement, ATLUS and SEGA have revealed that a modernized version of the ATLUS classic will be making its way to PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam, on May 25th, 2021. Those looking to get their hands on Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster a few days early can do so on May 21st by pre-ordering the Digital Deluxe Edition.
The upcoming title will allow them to once more relive the ethereal apocalypse that has occured through the invocation of the Conception. Players will find themself thrust into a world that has been swallowed by chaos as a demonic revolution has consumed a broken city. Those within the city will find themselves caught between a battle of both gods and demons, bringing them to think about the consequences of life, rebirth or death in order to determine who comes out as the victor.
This new version will feature some enhancements across the board including remastered 3D models and backgrounds, new difficulty settings for players of all skill levels, English and Japanese audio options, alternate branch featuring Raidou Kuzunoha, and various fixes that had been implemented since the Japanese release of the game.
What begins as a normal day in Tokyo turns out to be everything but, when the Conception – an ethereal apocalypse – is invoked. The remains of the world are swallowed by chaos, as a demonic revolution descends into a broken city. Caught between a battle of gods and demons, the choices you make can bring life, rebirth, or death, and determine who triumphs.
