With many gaming conventions being canceled due to health and safety concerns caused by COVID-19, many developers are preparing for New Game+, a live-streamed Expo that will air starting June 23rd, 2020, live on Twitch. Here’s what to new.
There’s no doubt many of us are feeling the void caused by so many game conventions having been canceled in 2019 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. For some, it has affected more than just their enjoyment of games or their ability to showcase their titles, it has affected the lives and income of those that depend on such events to keep the ball rolling.
However, that has slightly changed as many events have turned into full-on digital showcases, much like the recently run PC Game Show this past weekend and the upcoming New Game+ Expo, which will be taking the spot formerly held by E3 itself.
In light of the situation, SEGA, ATLUS, Spike Chunsoft, Idea Factory Interational, Inc., NIS America, and many others are coming together to showcase more than 30 games on June 23rd, 2020. Among the 40+ games being revealed, fans can expect to see some next-gen titles for PlayStation 5 get their big debut.
A group of Japanese and North American publishers will hold a New Game+ Expo to showcase 40 games from SEGA, ATLUS, and more. The combined lineup will feature games both newly announced and never-before-seen as part of their showcase. It’ll be joining the many others we’ve already hit this year including Microsoft’s Xbox 20/20 monthly updates, Guerilla Collective’s indie game showcase, and several others.
You will also see teams such as Acttil, AKSYS Games, Arc Systems Works America, GungHo America, PLAYISM, KOEI TECMO America, Inti Creates, Nasume Inc, SNK Corporation, and WayForward participate in the vent itself. The live-streamed event will take place on Twitch starting June 23rd at 8am PT, 10am CT, and 11am ET.
For more information about the event, you can visit the official New Game+ Expo website today in order to learn more about what you can expect to see over the course of the day.
