Amid the COVID-19 Pandemic that has been ravaging the world, Ubisoft has a way for you to spend some quality time while self-isolating. What is it you might ask? Getting to experience the 2018 smash-hit title Assassin’s Creed Odyssey as a free-to-trial title this weekend only.

If there’s one game we’ve stressed for you to experience in 2018, 2019 and now 2020, it would have to be Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, the very game that exceeded all of our expectations, earning itself a 10 out of 10 in our review of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey back in 2018.

Ubisoft has revealed that Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will be free-to-play from Thursday, March 19th, through Sunday, March 22nd, for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. During that period, fans of the franchise, or newcomers alike, will be able to experience the entirety of the base game, which will take up a good 40 hours or so if you go through just the main campaign.

Unfortunately, those looking to try it out and the DLC will have to obtain them separately to enjoy, which we highly suggest you do if you enjoy what you experience. Those that do decide to give it a whirl and purchase the game at a later date can do so as your save data will carry over from this version to a purchased one.
