Set to release in just over a week, Patch 5.2, also titled Echoes of a Fallen Star, will usher in plenty more content as the next major title update for Final Fantasy XIV, one of the most successful MMORPG’s to this very day.
In a recent Letter from the Developer, Final Fantasy XIV Producer and Director, Naoki Yoshida, revealed some brand new features fans can expect to drop when the title update does, which includes brand-new content including new Main Scenario Quests that will see the story pick-up where players left off, seeing the Warrior of Darkness and the Scions of the Seventh Dawn await the return of the Crystal Exarch, taking on various adventures during the Exarch’s absence.
During the course of this time, players will take on a brand-new dungeon through the Duty finder called Anamensis Anyder – a new challenge that players can enjoy with fellow Warriors of Darkness or through the game’s newly established Trust System. Alongside the new dungeon comes the second chapter of the Eden raid series called Eden’s Verse, which will bring in a series of new encounters for fans to partake in, including a character Gaia (created by series developer Tetsuya Nomura), who was teased during last years Final Fantasy XIV Festival in Japan shortly before the launch of Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers.
