Corepunk announced, combines elements of Diablo and Ultimate Online

Corepunk-alpha-17

Corepunk will be launching into open beta on PC in Q4 of 2020 for PC and will give fans a lot to look forward to when it launches. The game will break tradition and allow players to explore the story however they wish.

Announced just recently by developer Artificial Core, their upcoming non-linear MMORPG, Corepunk, is setting aim for a fourth-quarter 2020 launch, which will see gamers explore an immersive and in-depth sci-fi universe in what is described as a seamless open-world experience.

Corepunk will allow players to explore intricately detailed environments inhabited by four distinct cultures. Terrains will range from booming metropolis’ to vacant desert camps in the middle of an uncharted desert. But that’s not all. Players won’t have any specific way to experience the story according to Artificial Core. The team has stated that players will be able to take on any story mission in whatever way they wish, allowing them to play the game how they prefer to.

“Corepunk represents a synthesis of our favorite settings and themes from science fiction,” says Eugene Kiver, Producer of Corepunk. “Over the course of five years, we’ve expanded our team to over 100 people to ensure our vision of the ultimate futuristic fantasy comes to life. We can’t wait to have MMORPG fans live out their technocratic dreams with us.”

Just like in other MMO titles, players will create a hero, explore unique settings based on those heroes, and will allow them to utilize unique abilities designed for those characters. Players will be able to tweak how each character plays through the obtaining of artifacts and talents they unlock through progression.

Players will be able to also trade items, take part in an ever-growing in-game economy, while also crafting items to fit their needs. As players work towards multiple different endings, players will also get to embark on expeditions to find a chest filled with loot, encounter rare monsters, or even come in contact with a wandering merchant that may have items that they need.

One of the biggest and most unique things to the game is the fog-of-war system as well as dynamic weather systems that players will experience alongside the day and night cycles within the worlds they are exploring. Also, there will be PvP for those of you wanting a bit more of a challenge and wish to put their skills to the test.

“Each encounter in Corepunk’s PvP component will require a great deal of strategy. The keys to success will lie in constantly managing the distance between oneself and the enemy, keeping an eye on one’s ability cooldowns, and knowing each character’s strengths and weaknesses. Victories will be rewarded through the Honor Points system. Weaker players should rest assured knowing that a karma system will prevent them from being steamrolled at the outset,” Artificial Core explains about their upcoming title’s PvP and rewards system.

Fans can expect simple MMO functions to be apart of the game including profoundly deep lore, arenas, battlegrounds, guilds, farms, randomly generated dungeons, raids, crafting and mining professions as well as the ability to enjoy an in-game economy.
