Today, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamic have officially revealed Shadow of the Tomb Raider, which will be available on September 14, 2018, for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. With a worldwide release headed our way, the company has also announced that Shadow of the Tomb Raider will get a full reveal on April 27, 2018, for fans around the world.

Along with the announcement of the game, Square Enix has stated that Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be Lara’s “defining moment as she becomes the Tomb Raider,” but few other details are known about what the story will be, what will cause her to define herself as the Tomb Raider.

While we do wait to see the announcement next month, fans of the series can check out the new Tomb Raider movie, which opens on March 16 at all participating cinemas. The movie is based on the first entry of the newly re-envisioned Tomb Raider series featuring actress Alicia Vikander and co-star’s Daniel Wu, Dominic West, and Walter Goggins. You can check out a synopsis of the film ahead of its release down below.

Lara Croft is the fiercely independent daughter of an eccentric adventurer who vanished years earlier. Hoping to solve the mystery of her father’s disappearance, Croft embarks on a perilous journey to his last-known destination — a fabled tomb on a mythical island that might be somewhere off the coast of Japan. The stakes couldn’t be higher as Lara must rely on her sharp mind, blind faith and stubborn spirit to venture into the unknown.

Stay tuned as we’ll keep you updated regarding the release of Shadow of the Tomb Raider as more information is provided to us by the publisher.
