It’s always a sad day when you hear news about a studio being shut down, their hard-work being dismissed, and their futures as developers become uncertain. Today, that has happened once again, and this time it has happened to a team of extremely passionate fans of the Marvel universe, which brought an astounding game to life in recent years.

As a studio focused on free-to-play games, we already know things can be tough, and the upkeep needed for a game is even tougher. Today, Gazillion games has announced through their entire staff, and has announced that their title Marvel Heroes Omega will unfortunately be shutting down on all platforms, way ahead of the original scheduled date.

Sadly, we are seeing the game shut down, which is quite heartbreaking since it seemed to be a great alternative to the once famed Marvel’s Ultimate Alliance franchise, which has all-but shut down outside of the two ports to Xbox One and PlayStation 4. We hope the developers behind the game find new homes quickly and continue doing what they love to do.
