During the Capcom Pro Tour 2021 Season Final this past Sunday, Capcom delivered a knockout blow to fighting genre fans with the announcement of not one, but rather, two upcoming titles. The sneak peak for Street Fighter 6 was revealed alongside the official reveal of the Capcom Fighting Collection.

Street Fighter 6 will be the next evolution in the franchise which has sold 47 million units since it entered the scene more than 35 years ago. The teaser trailer gave fans a glimpse of what’s to come as Ryu begins to square off with an all-new challenger to the series, Luke. As part of the announcement, Street Fighter V will be receiving one last fighter, which was also revealed as the 45th character on the roster.

Alongside the two previous announcements, Capcom also revealed a collection of more than 35 years of Capcom’s fighting game genre legacy with the Capcom Fighting Collection. The collection will include ten classic fighting titles including fan-favorites, Darkstalkers and Cyberbots franchises that have been revolutionized to feature online multiplayer, enhanced gameplay features, and quality of life updates.

The Capcom Fighting Collection will be released on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One on June 24th, 2022, for $39.99 USD. The official Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection will also be released at $59.99 as an all-digital release for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One, on June 24th 2022.

For fighting fans, 2022 is going to be a busy one with these major releases and Street Fighter 6 being in development. Street Fighter 6 is currently in development with a release date and platforms yet to be announced at this time.
