ELEX II from THQ Nordic and Piranha Bytes introduces its five factions for the upcoming title, which is currently in development for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms. Are you ready to swear allegiance to one or them all?
It’s hard to believe that ELEX II from developer Piranha Bytes and publisher THQ Nordic is almost here. What feels like only yesterday since the release of the 2017 release of ELEX on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Now, Piranha Bytes wants to invite you into their upcoming sequel, ELEX II, which is set to release on March 1st, 2022.
The upcoming title is set to release on PC, PlayStation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S platforms. The new title will feature five newly announced factions, which honestly, is really cool. The new factions help setup what fans can expect when diving into the sequel, giving them a chance to prepare for the best of them all and those who they may wish to avoid as they adventure through the world of ELEX II.
As you explore Magalan, you’ll find that each of the factions that Jax encounters could play a massive role in the outcome of the story ELEX II will have. The factions include the skilled magicians that are the Berserkers. These talented magicians use the power of Elex to perform various kinds of magic and have managed to transform the desert of Tavar into a beautifully green and lush utopia for those that call it home.
Then there are the Albs, a faction from ELEX that Jax encountered once before. The Alb are a faction who are not the kindest of people, but they are powerful combatants who use their capabilities in combat to their advantage and remain one of the strongest yet. Then there are the Clerics who are known for their love of robotics, engineering, and the ability to fuse the two together through the power of Elex.
Then there are the all-new Morkons. The faction are survivors who have lived in darkness and deprivation, using it to spread their religion throughout Magalan and have turned to wiping out any that stand in their way. Their fierceness is as equally as dangerous as their passion for their beliefs. They’ll be formidable foe should Jax make them one.
Who knows what kinds of weapons, skills, armor, and unlockables these factions will have when the game launches. All we know? It’s going to be a bumpy ride no matter which faction you side with as each will have their own thoughts about the choices Jax makes in ELEX II on March 1st, 2022.
