Vampyr’s next-gen upgrade is here and it’s free, here’s what the latest update includes

DONTNOD and Focus Entertainment have released a all-new free next-gen upgrade for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S with some hefty upgrades to the game.

When it comes to lasting impressions, DONTNOD is excellent at leaving them and they have been doing so since the release of one of their earliest titles only known as REMEMBER ME, however, they aren’t done leaving those impressions yet.

In an all-new announcement, DONTNOD has revealed that they have brought an all-new experience to VAMPYR, their narratively driven vampire-driven RPG where you play a doctor turned vampire, and one that is working to uncover some of the biggest mysteries yet, including what happened to his family.

To get fans both new and old into a significantly improved experience, DONTNOD has released a free upgrade to its graphics on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Xbox Series X|S as a free upgrade of the game. The upgrade brings in improved visuals at 60 FPS at 1440p resolutions on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

While there aren’t any new additions to the core game itself such as DLC or expansions, it’s nice to see that DONTNOD and Focus Entertainment are still giving the game some quality of life improvements, which could spark suspicion that there could be more just over the horizon.

Those who haven’t purchased Vampyr yet can do so at 75% off through Steam, the PlayStation Store, and Xbox digital storefronts today. Vampyr is also available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
