If you’re a fan of the movie series “A Quiet Place” by John Krasinski, get ready, Saber Interactive, iLLOGIKA, and EP1TOME are bringing the movie series to life as a game sometime in 2022.
If you haven’t had a chance to watch the John Krasinski and Emily Blunt led series, A Quiet Place, you really should. The movies are absolutely fantastic and they seem to only get better every time you watch them as you begin to notice little details you hadn’t before. The movies are intense, they are adrenaline-inducing, and they can even cause the hairs on the back of your neck to rise when you least expect it.
That’s the very goal from Saber Interactive, iLLOGIKA, and EP1T0ME, with their upcoming title, A Quiet Place, which will be set in the very world of the movie series its name is driven from. It’s the first official video game that has been greenlit to take on such a task. The game aims to capture the terrifying elements of what the movies had to offer. That includes the detail, the suspense, the emotion, and most of all – it’s dangers.
The series will be a first-time release from developer iLLOGIKA, the Montreal-based studio with talent behind titles such as Rainbow Six and Far Cry, while Saber Interactive is known for their recent hit title World War Z in modern times alongside their upcoming and highly-anticipated Evil Dead: The Game.
“The A Quiet Place video game will let fans experience the tension of the films with a level of immersion they’ve never felt before,” said Hervé Sliwa, Creative Director at iLLOGIKA. “We’re excited to work with EP1T0ME and to team up with Saber Interactive to share this unique vision of hope and horror with players everywhere in the future.”
The world of A Quiet Place is already terrifying, dangerous, and leaving little room for hope as silence has filled the world as mysterious and yet lethal creatures roam about, hunting those who make noise.
“The amazing success of the A Quiet Place movies makes it clear audiences are hungry for more adventures in this universe, and iLLOGIKA is creating their own truly engaging experience that lives up to the name of this beloved property. We are proud to say that A Quiet Place is the first game we will be releasing by an external studio from the growing Saber publishing label,” said Todd Hollenshead, Head of Publishing at Saber Interactive.
Currently, A Quiet Place is in development and is aimed to release in 2022. More is expected to be revealed later this year as development continues.
