The Elder Scrolls Online: Markarth zone DLC and events announced

The Dark Heart of Skyrim adventure will conclude with the release of the Markarth zone DLC. The content is set to drop this November for all currently available platforms.

The conclusion to The Elder Scrolls Online story called the “Dark Heart of Skyrim” is almost upon us as ZeniMaxi Online Studio and publisher Bethesda, prepare for the conclusion to the overall story for Greymoor and will set forth the next adventure that players can experience in the follow-up expansion.

During a year-end preview stream event on Twitch, ZeniMax Online Studios revealed the upcoming Lost Treasure of Skyrim in-game event, along with some brand-new holiday cheer to enjoy. You can check out the main event trailer out today.

The Dark Heart of Skyrim epic will conclude with, as previously stated, the Markarth zone DLC. The DLC will take players deeper into the Reach where you will team up with an unlikely band of allies, confront a Vampire Lord, and his ancient army of – quite possibly – vampires.

Along with the new zone, adventurers can head into an all-new solo arena, Vateshran Hollows. The new arena will test your strength, your wits, and resolve as it puts your abilities to the test with all-new challenging bosses to challenge. If you can stay alive, defeat them, and their companions, you can find new unlockable paths, and along with those paths, powerful and the secrets they behold.

The new DLC is already available on the Public Test Server as of September 21st, 2020, and will prepare players for the official launches on PC and consoles this November. Those seeking to prepare for the Markarth DLC can undergo the Markarth Prologue Quest today on all platforms.

The free prologue quest can be picked up in the in-game Crown Store free of charge. Those wanting to explore other parts of the game can also jump into the “Lost Treasures of Skyrim” event this week where you can unlock three tiers of collectible rewards.

These rewards include new cosmetics, a pet, house, and new type of collectible: houseguests. All of these will be available as the community unlocks them. The tiers are unlocked by players digging up Tamriel’s lost treasures through the antiquity system.

Those who participate in the event can also participate for bonus rewards by completing daily quests in Western Skyrim. You’ll want to check out the following dates down below in order to participate in the latest in-game events in order to unlock your rewards:

  • Lost Treasures of Skyrim (September 23 – October 5)
  • Witches Festival (October 22 – November 3)
  • Undaunted Celebration (November 25 – December 12)
  • New Life Festival (December 21 – January 2, 2021)
