DOOM Eternal: The Ancient Gods, Part One, gets an official release date and pricing alongside a brand-new trailer. Here’s what you need to know.
Since its launch, DOOM Eternal hasn’t stopped being flooded with all-new content for fans to enjoy. The biggest part of the experience was revealed during Gamescom Opening Night Live. That content just happens to be the upcoming expansion for DOOM Eternal called ‘The Ancient Gods, Part One’, which is set to launch on October 20th, 2020.
The upcoming expansion is the first half of a two-part story, which will see players once again take on the role of the DOOM Slayer who will confront an ancient evil who has awoken due to an imbalance in the heavens. Of course, it wouldn’t be doom if he wasn’t ripping and tearing his way through never-before-seen locations within the DOOM universe.
The Ancient Gods, Part One, will be apart of the Year One Pass or the Digital Deluxe Edition of DOOM Eternal. Those who don’t have it, can purchase the game seperately for $29.99 as part of the Year One Pass or for $19.99 on its own.
The news comes shortly after Bethesda revealed that DOOM Eternal will be coming to Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 with a free upgrade to all current-gen owners. id Software has already been hard at work to ensure that DOOM Eternal will be available to play on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 during Holiday 2020.
