Bethesda has revealed that both The Elder Scrolls Online and DOOM Eternal are coming to next-gen consoles rather soon. Will you rip or tear or become the next big adventurer in all of Tamriel on next-gen consoles?
As we prepare for the launch of next-gen consoles, game publishers around the world are planning on their push to bring their hottest hits to the latest and greatest hardware. One of the next big-ones comes with Bethesda who is already preparing for the launch of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
To better prepare fans, the publisher has revealed that The Elder Scrolls Online and DOOM Eternal will be coming to PlayStation 5 for those who own the respective titles. The upgrade will come free of charge for owners of the current-gen releases.
Bethesda has revealed that teams at both ZeniMax Online Studios and id Software are hard at work ensuring the updates will be available at launch for both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X along with a list of enhancements that will be made to each of the games.
Currently, there is no confirmed release window and that bit of information will be released as the updates become available. “And while we don’t have any news to share just yet on our remaining catalogue of titles, we can confirm we are committed to offer free upgrades for current generation console owners of existing Bethesda titles we bring forward into the next generation of consoles,” stated a Bethesda spokesperson.
The news comes only hours before QuakeCon at home begins later today via Bethesda’s official Twitch channel. Stay tuned as we will keep you up-to-date as more information is released.
