THQ Nordic has confirmed that Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning will be launching this August for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
If you haven’t had a chance to play Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, you’re missing out, it was one of the hottest action-RPG titles to drop in 2012, one that offered a massive world, captivating story, and hundreds of hours of content. It was one that was also met with trouble due to some behind-the-scenes issues that popped up when least expected.
Now, it looks like THQ Nordic and KAIKO GmbH have confirmed their remastering will be dropping on August 11th while online retailer, Amazon, notes an August 18th release date regardless of platform. The price has already been confirmed for Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning at $39.99 for the game, which features all previously released content as well as new features for the game.
The new features include updated visuals, refined gameplay mechanics, and presumably, an enhanced performance experience due to the more powerful hardware of current-gen platforms over last-gen consoles. This will be the first time anything has occurred with the game since the course of 38 Studios and Electronic Arts having held the publishing and required them approving a remaster at the time (back in 2018) as THQ Nordic negotiated a way to obtain the rights to the series.
Along with the reveal of the $39.99 edition of the game, THQ Nordic has revealed a Collector’s Edition for Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning that will run you a solid $110 to pre-order at this time. Of course, if you are to pre-order on Amazon you can get it at that price or cheaper if THQ Nordic decides to drop the price at all. You may want to aim for it, however, consider pre-ordering ASAP as it is a “while supplies last” situation.
