Prepare for one of the most immersive side-scrolling titles, Liberated, from independent developer Atomic Wolf and publisher Walkabout, as it has launched on Nintendo Switch as of now.
Walkabout Games and Atomic Wolf aren’t being quiet about making a major splash in the gaming industry. The two have revealed that their title, Liberated, is now available on Nintendo Switch via the Nintendo eShop for $19.99. Those looking for a game offering a rather in-depth experience, one with stylized gameplay experiences and a tech-noir story can do so as of today.
With the chaos in our world, Liberated is one that wants to tell a tale of a tech-noir society that is slipping into the throes of an authoritarian setting, one where corporations have been emboldened by their reliance on new technology. A world where there are undeniable truths and personal freedoms are beginning to die as surveillance and weaponized personal data have painted the world into black and white where no shades of grey seem to exist.
Unlike most modern games, comics, or movies, Liberated is much different, as it takes place in a rain-soaked city, moving players around in the dark where they will hack the system in an attempt to bring it to its knees. Using a jaw-dropping hand-drawn art style, Liberated seeks to take players into the word so that they can enjoy an award-winning noir cyberpunk story that no other can enjoy unless they give the game a whirl.
“Liberated is a labour of cooperation between Atomic Wolf, L.inc and Walkabout Games,” said Piotr Gnyp, head of BizDev at Walkabout, the publisher of Liberated. “We hope that its distinctive art style, and the message, which is more relevant than ever, will resonate with the gamers.”
You can grab Liberated for $19.99 for the Nintendo Switch.
