If you’ve been waiting for a chance to stand off against the zombies in World War Z, your wait is over, the Horde Mode Z update is here and we have everything you need to know about it.

In one of the biggest surprises of 2019, World War Z continues to surprise us and the latest surprise comes in the shape of the Horde Mode Z update, which adds in a new horror-survival aspect as players will face off against zombies in an almost seemingly never-ending horde mode.

In the new four-player mode, players will work against progressively challenging enemies with each and every wave. As players do complete each and every wave, increasingly bigger rewards will be given, allowing players to have even better chances of surviving. Players will also get a chance to scavenge for more firepower, barricades, and various other items that will increase their chances of surviving.

Along with the new mode comes several new features including the new zombie, “The Bomber”, which drops an explosive item when downed, which gives players only a few crucial seconds to get away before it detonates. There have also been new content drops for owners of the World War Z Season Pass, which bundles together all of the game’s first and second seasons of premium DLC.

Saber Interactive has confirmed planned future updates including PvE crossplay support, premium character skin packs, and a new premium campaign episode, all of which are expected to drop in early 2020. In the meantime, you can check out our review for World War Z today.
