After the mind-blowing success of Resident Evil 2 Remake, Capcom has confirmed that Resident Evil 3 Remake and Resident Evil Project Resistance are a 2-in-1 project and will launch side-by-side on April 3rd, 2020. Here’s the scoop.

The Resident Evil franchise, for what it’s worth, has been insanely busy the last year or so. After the mind-blowing success of Resident Evil 2 Remake, Capcom is going one step further with a remake of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis with Resident Evil 3. The game will be using the same engine we’ve been using since Resident Evil VII and will seemingly be using for the ongoing future.

Fans can expect to see the return of iconic characters from Resident Evil 3: Nemesis including Carlos Oliveria, Jill Valentine, Nikolai, and hopefully, the iconic return of the original soundtrack. Capcon has confirmed that players will experience a newly re-imagined version of Resident Evil 3 alongside its all-new cooperative multiplayer mode called Resident Evil: Resistance.

Resident Evil Resistance will be a 4 vs. 1 multiplayer game where players work against the Mastermind, a cynical member of the Umbrella Corporation that will do everything in their way to stop the survivors from escaping. Players will work against the Mastermind as they work against manipulated environments that will see creatures, traps, and even B.O.Ws being put into play. Fans can choose from characters such as Annette Birkin as they attempt to escape.

Those looking to pre-order the game can do so starting today alongside the Resident Evil 3 Collector’s Edition which will feature premium goodies as described by our friends at Capcom:

  • Contains a physical copy of Resident Evil 3
  • High-quality Jill Valentine figure
  • Printed artbook, a Raccoon City map wall poster
  • Digital Resident Evil 3 soundtrack.

Capcom has also stated that any that pre-order will also receive the exclusive Classic Costume Pack that includes special skins for Jill and Carlos both. Resident Evil 3 is set to launch on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One starting on April 3rd, 2020.
