Prepare for a few weeks of patches in order to get the full Shadowbringers launch including raids, dungeons, and Allagan Tomestones of Phantasmagoria.
Ahead of the July 2nd, 2019, launch of FINAL FANTASY XIV: Shadowbringers, producer and director Naoki Yoshida has given us an outline of post-release plans, giving us ideas of when we can expect raids to launch, new dungeons to open up, and a few ideas of what to expect when the game launches on PC and PlayStation 4.
During the Letter from the Producer LIVE (you can watch it down below), he gave us quite a bit of information coming in all forms, including a new dungeon walkthrough as well as a glimpse at some of the expansions key-players including returning cast members such as Thancred and Y’shtola alongside newly revealed character Ran’jit.
In the LIVE, we got a chance to see a few new key elements to the story including various events that will occur. You can check out the full outline at the Final Fantasy XIV Lodestone today. Alongside the story elements, Yoshi-P outlined upcoming changes to the Crafting Classes, showing off new actions, adjustments to current actions, and even upgrades to the crafting UI alongside easing back the requirements to unlock existing recipes.
Alongside the new enhancements, you’ll also see new actions and traits come along the way as well for gathering classes. Alongside the new actions and traits comes updates to the gathering log that will include spawn time information and the ability to add an alarm to remind a player of spawning nodes for when they respawn on the map. Alongside that comes a lowered requirement to unlock existing gathering maps pre-Shadowbringers.
Then he did discuss additions to the New Worlds and System-related features. For the system-related features, you can expect to see an increase to the glamour dresser storage capacity, updates to the retainer and achievement UI’s as well as the addition of new tomestones alongside gatherer/crafter scrips, alongside plenty more. New Worlds will see Spriggan World come to the Chaos Data center alongside the addition of the Twintania World to the Light Data center.
Those looking to jump into the new high-level raid, Eden, will be able to do so in Patch 5.01, which will launch on July 16th, 2019, followed by the launch of the savage difficulty of Eden, a new treasure hunt dungeon, Lyhe Ghiahl, and the release of the Allagan tomestone of Phantasmagoria.
Players looking to obtain the game can do so both physically and digitally in both a Collector’s Edition and Standard Edition of the game. If you visit the Square Store, you can purchase them there in all available formats of the game.
