During the PC Gamer Showcase, independent publisher and developer Rebellion took to the stage to show off a major unannounced title for E3 2019. Now, we know exactly what it is and we will once more be facing down Hitler’s undead army in Zombie Army 4: Dead War in 2020. Here’s the low down along with a brand new trailer.
Rebellion hasn’t slowed down in delivering some of the sharpest games of this generation. From Sniper Elite III to Sniper Elite V2 Remastered have provided us with years of content from the franchise, but so has the Zombie Army Trilogy, which released on current-gen consoles in 2015.
After six years, in 2020, fans will once more get to take a wild and harrowing adventure as they face off against Hitler’s undead army in Zombie Army 4: Dead War, which will put their skills to the test. Players will be working together in the same fashion as funny, albeit serious title, Strange Brigade, which launched in August of 2018.
The fighters, it seems, will be class-based or perk-based depending on who you choose. The game will feature a rich and diverse cast of both men and women. It also seems that the pre-rendered gameplay trailer gave us subtle hints about gameplay mechanics and story elements that play off of the main events from Zombie Army Trilogy.
As one might guess, you’ll once more return to the front line using sniper rifles and various weapons from the Sniper Elite series. The fourth installment in the Zombie Army franchise isn’t expected to launch in 2020 and will be available on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One when it launches sometime next year.
