1047 Games, the developers behind sci-fi multiplayer title, Slipgate: Arena Warfare, have teamed up with blockchain esports platform SLIVER.tv for exclusive in-game unlocks for those using the platform.
As blockchain platforms continue to grow, developers and entertainment providers are finding new ways to help the blockchain platform grow. As we already know, blockchain is already growing, it’s continually evolving, and now, it seems developers are looking to help the experience itself begin to grown.
One of the first games among them comes Slipgate: Arena Warfare from 1047 Games, a fast-paced sci-fi multiplayer shooter, which will reward viewers who watch streamers broadcast the title through SLIVER.tv. Viewers will be able to share their bandwidth and earn Theta Fuel, or as Slipgate calls it, “Tfuel”. From there, they will be able to use their Tfuel to purchase exclusive skins for their arsenal shop or generously donate it to their favorite streamers.
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with SLIVER.tv and bringing unique TFuel rewards to Splitgate players,” said Ian Proulx, co-founder of 1047 Games. “The streamers benefit from seeing tons of engaged viewers, who earn exclusive skins for watching Splitgate gameplay, and we, the developer, get more players enjoying our game. It’s a win-win for everyone involved!”
The studio has revealed their title is now available on Steam as a free-to-play title, which has been well received since its beta and has been well received by streamers such as shroud, CouRage, Summit1g, among many more via Twitch and various other platforms. However, with SLIVER.tv, viewers will be awarded for their time, and can again, earn credit to purchase brand new weapon skins.
“It made perfect sense for us to partner up with such a promising game as Splitgate and get our streamers involved,” said Mitch Liu, co-founder, and CEO of SLIVER.tv and Theta Labs, Inc. “With our combined unique Theta Fuel in-game rewards and blockchain technology, viewers become part of the Esports experience, driving substantial engagement and retention for our partners and games.”
