In a brief announcement, Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo have revealed that their highly anticipated fighting game, DEAD OR ALIVE 6, will see a minor delay from its February 15, 2019, launch date.

With what feels like a year that’s starting off with a bang, it’s hard not to take notice of games getting delays. After all, this years starting lineup of launch titles has been as crazy as ever with games such as Resident Evil 2 Remake, Kingdom Hearts III and even DEAD OR ALIVE 6 all set to begin the year.

Unfortunately, Team NINJA has revealed that DEAD OR ALIVE 6 will not be making the beginning of the year launch bonanza we had begun to anticipate late last year. The team confirmed that their upcoming title will instead be launching worldwide on March 1, 2019, instead of February 15, 2019.

The title’s development is already near complete; however, we would like to take more time to further polish its balance, gameplay, and expressivity. In return for your patience, we commit to bringing you the best DEAD OR ALIVE gaming experience,” said Yohei Shimbori, the game’s Producer and Director. “I am truly sorry for the inconvenience caused by the release delay of DEAD OR ALIVE 6.

With the delay being only a couple of weeks, fans of the DEAD OR ALIVE series can still expect DEAD OR ALIVE 6 to launch on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 1, 2019, on a global scale.
