Already seeing staggering success with Conan Exiles, today, Funcom has announced the upcoming spin-off title by the name of Conan Unconquered, a strategy title set to release in Q2 2019 by developer Petroglyph.
Preparing for his own debut, Conan will be seeing his first foray into the strategy game genre with Conan Unconquered, a title that will see the savage world of Conan come to life in never-before-seen ways.
In the upcoming high-paced strategy game, players will face off against wave after wave of powerful foes that increase in numbers and difficulty as players fight back against their attacks. In order to fight back against the hordes, players will need to build, to plan out an unconquerable stronghold and put up walls along with powerful defensive measures to protect their people from destruction.
For those looking to play alone, you can enjoy a full-blown single-player experience while you can also team up with another player online in order to fight back against the invasion forces themselves. In online, two players will work together, sharing a stronghold that they must work on together in order to survive. This unique and exciting take on cooperative gameplay will ensure that not one match is ever played the same.
Funcom is finding inspiration from the Black Colossus story, one that fans got to experience in the title Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures and Conan Exiles. You can also stay tuned for more information as Funcom has announced that they are working on a single-player Conan game that will be revealed at a later date. Conan Unconquered is expected to launch in Q2 of 2019. No platforms have been announced for the game.
