When it comes to pre-ordering PlayStation 4 exclusive games, Sony remains out of the loop, however, it seems that some pre-orders are beginning to open up, but unfortunately, in one minor way.
Things between Amazon and Sony remains rather odd. Both the gaming entertainment titan and online marketplace remain at odds when it comes to PlayStation exclusive titles. The biggest reason? No one knows, however, one of the biggest and most anticipated games of the year happens to be falling victim due to the ignorance of one party or the other.
Luckily, it seems that one of the two companies have begun to budge in one way or another (presumably Sony’s) as the upcoming Spider-Man game developed by Insomniac is beginning to see digital copies become available for pre-order ahead of the games Sept. 4, 2018, release date, which is just a short couple of weeks away.
The unfortunate side of it all? You can’t pre-order physical copies of the game or the limited edition Spider-Man PlayStation 4 Pro console. Those looking to do so will still need to stick to retailers such as Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Target, and GameStop for their chance to obtain a physical copy of the game and or the console bundle at this time.
This news only comes shortly after Amazon changed what games qualify for the Amazon Prime discount in gaming, which included the removal of remakes and or remasters of previously released games. We fell victim to this change with our pre-order of the Mega Man X Legacy Collection late last month.
