Vostok has officially announced the Early Access release for Fear the Wolves for next week and celebrates with a release date trailer featuring gameplay elements and plenty more.
As August 28, 2018, quickly approaches us, Focus Home Interactive and Vostok Games, the minds behind the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. franchise, have officially decided to lift the lid on their upcoming Battle Royale FPS title by the name of Fear the Wolves. The game will be entering into Steam Early Access on August 28, 2018, for PC users.
In the game, players will see traditional S.T.A.L.K.E.R. franchise PVE elements come to life as they dart across the decaying ruins of the once beautiful city of Chernobyl. Now, as the city decays around them, players will have to weather through unique radiation stores, weather, and endgame extraction mechanics in order for their chance to win.
Let alone will Fear the Wolves push you to your limits, Vostok Games has confirmed that Fear the Wolves has entered into an Early Access period with an additional six weeks of development and testing in a closed beta atmosphere. Now that it has been given refined gameplay performance and balancing fixes, the team now believes it’s your time to survive the oncoming storm as you face down against dozens of other players.
The developers have confirmed they are keen to receive further feedback from their community as it continually grows in order to make Fear the Wolves the next step in evolution for the Battle Royale genre. The team has confirmed that there is quite a bit more in development for their game including new gameplay elements and even unannounced features.
Additionally, there is a new map, a new mode, new weapons, items, mutants, and even enhanced weather to explore. Vostok Games has stated that they seek to continually deliver “regular, large content patches, with a full plan of the update timeline being available” via the games Steam page throughout its development cycle. They are going to be taking in community feedback throughout the games lifetime, helping bring it to life and continually push forth with the games unique weather and PvE systems.
The team has also confirmed that Fear the Wolves will continually be worked on in order to provide better server and game stability as it is needed for their game. Fear the Wolves is expected to fully released in 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One once its Early Access period ends.
