Since the release of Vainglory on both iOS and Android platforms, Super Evil Megacorp has earned more than $50 million USD. A PC version of the game announced with alpha test-builds now available for download.
Hitting major revenue milestones is a big deal when heading into the MOBA arena, but also in the mobile space, where games can fall victim to unforeseen criticism and competition. However, since the launch of their ambitious 3v3 or 5v5 title, Super Evil Megacorp’s title Vainglory has hit their $50 million USD mark since late 2014. The report comes from analysis website Sensor Tower Store Intelligence Estimates, which places the game as one of the fastest earning titles in the mobile market.
The sales totals are accumulated between both the App Store and Google Play market, ranking it as the third most successful mobile title in its genre next to titles Honor of Kings and Arena of Valor and Moonton’s ambitious title Mobile Legends. According to the reports, approximately $16 million USD, or as stated, roughly 32% of all of their earnings are from players in the United States with Japan and other regions following close behind.
Along with the earnings report, Super Evil Megacorp has revealed that their smash-hit title will be headed to Windows PC and Mac. With the upcoming PC and Mac release, Super Evil Mega Corp will be going up against the likes of titles such as League of Legends and Dota 2. As an upcoming competitor to both of the titles, Super Evil Megacorp has released a test version of the game for the PC and Mac versions of the game today.
The company has openly stated that they want to develop “a full, uncompromising MOBA experience to the touch-screen generation.” As they move into the PC space, they will have their work cut out for them after they’ve worked on the game. Super Evil Mega Corp has stated that they haven’t sacrificed any of the Vainglory experience.
However, those of you do that do opt to try out the alpha do need to note that Super Evil Megacorp has stated that the alpha build does have its imperfections including — bugs, potential UI issues, keybinding problems, and potential graphical bugs and errors.
If you are interested in giving the game a try, you can head on over to the official Vainglory website where you can download the alpha version of the game today for both Windows and Mac OS’s.
