Today, indie publisher Versus Evil has unveiled their plans for this year’s PAX East, which will take place from April 5 to April 8, 2018, at the Boston Convention Center. During the event, the publisher has announced they will have a ‘Versus Evil RPG Experience’ at their booth (#13096), which will see to that fans get a chance to go hands-on with playable demo’s for both of the upcoming games.
Pillars of Eternity II: Dreadfire, the upcoming RPG from Obsidian Entertainment and Banner Saga 3 from Stoic Studio will both be available to play, but so will official cosplayer photo opportunities with characters from both upcoming titles. The publisher has also announced that they will have a live streaming stage set up for fans to enjoy and they will also have a chance to meet with key developers of both games while also having a chance to purchase exclusive PAX East merchandise for fans that can attend.

As part of their chance to offer up such a unique experience, Versus Evil has announced that Origin PC, Pixio Gaming, and longtime peripherals partner Razer will be teaming up with them in order to make the experience possible. The publisher has also announced that they will have a panel hosted by gaming personality Jesse “OMFGcata” Cox called “Role Playing – Our Lives Depend on It!” on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at 2pm in the Albatross Theatre.
During this time, Jesse will sit down with members from the teams behind the upcoming titles as well as Versus Evil’s General Manager Steve Escalante to discuss all things RPG and their experiences with RPG’s since the early days of gaming in the 90’s. They will be ending the panel with a Q&A session from attendees that are on the floor.
“We are excited to bring something new to the Versus Evil PAX experience where fans will get a chance to play the games and meet the teams creating them,” commented Steve Escalante, General Manager at Versus Evil. ‘These two award-winning RPG games continue to push the genre forward and role-playing fans will not be disappointed with the rich experience we’ve lined up for them at this year’s show.”

The live streaming stage at the booth will be hosted by gaming personalities Meg Kaylee (@s_riddling), Adrian (@Okaydrian), and Kason (@Cupahnoodle) and will include interviews with developers and cosplayers, game livestreams, discussions about role playing in general, and much more!
