Ubisoft has been on a solid track record for the best post-release game content with their recent releases of For Honor, The Division, and Ghost Recon: Wildlands. In a continued effort to continue that statement, the developer and publisher has once more revealed a new set of operators that are preparing to make their way to Rainbow Six Siege with the release of Operation Chimera.

As the games new “Outbreak Event” quickly approaches, we have learned that both of the operators will be tied to the event through the recent release of the Rainbow Six Siege: Operation Chimera and Outbreak full teaser trailer. The recently released trailer is the full story-based cinematic that the game has released outside of character profiles. You can check out the operator trailer below.

In their profiles, we learn that Fink was born with neuropathy and has devoted much of her life to stay in peak physical condition, but has moved to make breakthroughs with the use of nanobots. She had joined Spetsnaz in order to put her knowledge of chemicals, biology, and radiation to use in order to save lives. As part of her job, she now works alongside Lion in Rainbow Six’s CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defense) unit.

Fink is classified as an attack class specialist who comes equipped with a breach charge, stun grenade, and nanobot shots that she can use to enhance the performance of fellow operators. Her boost gives them a jump in health as well as steadier aim while in combat. Her weapons are a Spear .308, SAASG-12 shotgun, and a 6P41 as primary weapon options. Additionally, her secondary weapon options are a PMM Pistol and GSH-18. Her and Lion both share the same speed and armor stats for their operator kits.

In turn, Lion was born into a conservative and Catholic family whom he rebelled against. Much of this culminated when he got his girlfriend pregnant. Due to his lack of sense of purpose, Lion joined the ranks of the French Army. His past reflected on his actions thanks to the help of a chaplain. Through his adventures in the military, he seeks to redeem himself for his past sins by saving the lives of those he can. Just like Fink, Lion is an attack class operative who has the choices of a V308, 417 marksman rifle, and a SQ-CQB shotgun for his primary weapons. Additionally he comes equipped with a P9 pistol or a LFP586 revolver depending on what players chose to equip. His specialized items include a claymore, stun grenades, and his EE-One-D device that allows him to detect enemy movements within an area.

Just like Fink, Lion also comes with two points in speed and armor as an attack class operator. You can see the official outline by Ubisoft down below.

In Operation Chimera, even Team Rainbow is pushed to its limits. Therefore, Six calls in some of the very best biohazard specialists currently in operation within the world’s elite national CTUs: Lion and Finka. Respectively from France and Russia, these hot zone specialists are experts in matters of biological warfare and veterans of numerous conflicts involving bio-chemical weapons. They are Rainbow Six’s best hope against the dangers lurking in the Quarantine Zone.

Ubisoft has announced that the full Operation Chimera and Outbreak Event reveals will happen during the Rainbow Six Siege Invitationals this Saturday and Sunday. You can find out more at the official Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Invitationals 2018 site.
