As of today, indie developer Stunlock Studios has announced that their team focused arena brawler Battlerite has been officially moved to Early Access through Steam. With the Early Access comes a brand new champion named Thorn, 200 new items including rare weapons, outfits, victory poses, legendary color variants, and even seven new additional music tracks for fans to enjoy. Players can now prepare to unlock new heroes, master them, and show just why they are the best of the best in the Battlerite arena.
“It’s been one hell of a year since we entered Steam Early Access and we can finally deliver on our promise to launch Battlerite as a free-to-play game, making it easily accessible to all PvP arena brawler fans to enjoy,” said Peter Ilves, Game Director at Stunlock Studios. “As of today, new players can join the Battlerite community for free in rapid fire, competitive battles requiring to prove your mettle. So jump in and show off your skills on the fighting ground. The arena awaits, brawlers!”
Players that choose to enter the Battlerite will get to enjoy a six unique character free rotation just like any MOBA or Arena Brawler out there. Battles will take place in matches of 2v2 or 3v3 in vibrant, colorful Colosseum-style arenas. Players will take control of one champion out of the 22 champions available including those that utilize melee, support, or ranged combat styles. For players that get their hands on the game, it’s all about skill including skill-shots, dodging, evading, and your timing. Players that do play, will also be using the WASD movement style as well as cursor based aiming.
You can play alone, together with friends, or even group up with other players you’ve just met in order to triumph against any competition that comes your way. Those that opt to buy the “Champions Pack”, which unlocks all 22 current champions and future champions, can grab the pack today for $29.99/27.99€/23.79£.
