PlayerUnkown’s Battlegrounds has been a game that has broken any milestone that previous games have ever ventured out to do. It broke the most active player count at one time and even holds the peak player record for any non-Valve game. The game’s developer has now announced that it has broken a new record of being the most active game to date with more than 1 million simultaneous players playing the game.
This new record puts it right behind Valves MOBA Dota 2 at 1,291,328 active players on March 2016, but PUBG doesn’t show any sign of slowing down. This even serves as a follow-up to the announcement that PlayerUnknown’s Battleground has sold more than 10 million copies since the games launch.
It’s even reasonable to believe that this isn’t a game getting added into a players backlog and calling it quits. Players are actively coming back on a daily basis, even among the launch of Bungie’s Destiny 2 on Wednesday.
According to Steam Charts, PUBG is still one of the most played games to date and will only get busier when the Xbox One version launches on the Xbox One’s Game Preview marketplace this fall, with a possible PlayStation 4 launch at a later date.
