
Capcom has revealed all-new information about the upcoming Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak expansion during its latest Monster Hunter Digital Event. The new expansion will be coming this June for PC and Nintendo Switch. Here’s what you need to know.
If you’ve been looking forward to the Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak expansion, your wait is almost over, which was revealed by series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto. During the stream, it was revealed that the new expansion will release exclusively for PC and Nintendo Switch on June 30th, 2022.
The latest trailer revealed a few of the game’s all-new story elements, new Elgado Outpost hub, challenging monsters, and exciting new abilities that players will unlock over the course of the Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak expansion.
The expansion will be released as a standalone purchase for the standard edition at $39.99, a Deluxe Edition that will cost $49.99, and a Collector’s Edition for $99.99 (only available in the US and Canada). The latter will include a digital voucher for the Deluxe Edition and physical items including a sticker pack, enamel pin, steelbook case, and an amiibo figure of Malzeno, the flagship monster for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak.
Those who decide to pre-purchase any version of the expansion early will receive two in-game layered armor sets called “Loyal Dog” for their “Palamute” and “Striped Cat” for their Palico companions. The Malenzo-inspired amiibo will unlock a special layered armor for their hunter and companions as well.
