If you are on the latest Nintendo Switch firmware, ver. 12.0.3, you could be in for a bit of trouble with online connectivity as well as downloading games from the eShop. Nintendo is aware of the issues.

If you are a Nintendo Switch user and you are on the latest firmware, ver. 12.0.3., don’t be surprised if you are running into minor issues downloading games or with online connectivity. The update itself had been pulled due to a plethora of issues relating to SDXC cards, new memory cards, and even downloading and online connectivity.

The firmware update had originally been rolled back due to the list of issues, which to some, were minor, but now, it’s becoming more widespread even after reports of it having some major and detrimental flaws.

The main error in question is one that has also been plaguing our own hardware, throwing up the well-known Error 2123-1502. The only fix the Redditors have found? Simply keep trying to redownload your software. It seems that the software issues are more persistent in games above 4GB. We’ve noticed from our own experience that the error can also be triggered if the Nintendo Switch goes into standby mode.

Nintendo does recommend several fixes including trying new DNS servers, we recommend the Google DNS at 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4. If you do attempt to change your settings. The only real fix you can do? Work through the bugs and wait for the next system update from Nintendo.
