Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin gets an official release date for this July

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is coming much earlier than expected to Nintendo Switch and PC with an official July release date as revealed during the Monster Hunter Digital Event.

Let’s get straight to the point: Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will launch on July 9th, 2021, for Nintendo Switch and PC. Capcom has revealed a bit more about the game as well, during their Monster Hunter Digital Event earlier today.

To help prepare fans for the upcoming release, Capcom has revealed two returning characters from Monster Hunter Stories in a brief overview of the strategic overhaul they’ve done to the combat systems and plenty more (you can view the digital event down below).

As part of their ongoing effort to show fans what’s going on behind the scenes, a few Monstie companions, competing factions, and hints about the upcoming story were revealed. Players will take on the role of a new young Monster Rider who is able to befriend monsters throughout the world with the world.

You’ll reunite with friends once before seen, take on impossible odds, and seek to capture your companion from the original Monster Hunter Stories: Razewing Ratha before it can awaken its destructive powers and complete the Wings of Ruin prophecy, but, you aren’t alone.

Riders will have to work quickly to outpace a group of Hunters and Riders who seek to capture Razewing Ratha for their own purposes, which unlike yours, do not bring forth a fairytale ending, but rather, something much worse.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will launch on Nintendo Switch and PC on July 9th, 2021.
