Bethesda has revealed the Nintendo Switch release date for DOOM Eternal, which will land on the hand-held console hybrid on December 8th as a digital-only release ahead of its launch. Here’s what you need ahead of its launch.
Already rated as oen of our top games of 2020, DOOM Eternal is back and is making steady paces into becoming even more awards during the 2020 Game Awards, which include nominations for Game of the Year and Action Game of the Year. The highly-anticipated Nintendo Switch release is one of its last major leaps into the realm of multi-platform launches.
To help prepare for the games launch, Panic Button, the madminds behind the Switch ports of DOOM, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, and Wolfenstein: Youngblood are back at it once again so that fans can experience DOOM Eternal in a single-player environment or online in the games 2v1 PvP BATTLEMODE.
Nintendo Switch users can also take advantage of fefatures such as gyruscopic controls, HD rumble, and traditional aiming as well, to further their experience. Just as they did previously, Panic Button aims to keep the game as true to its self as they can, which means bringing everything we love about DOOM Eternal from its PC and console builds, to an all-new nintendo Switch build, which is set to launch tomorrow, December 8th, 2020, exclusively through the Nintendo eShop.
“When it comes to making a solid sequel, one that steps even further ahead of its predecessor, DOOM Eternal is a prime example of how to do this and how to do it right. It’s an astonishing example in gaming evolution, offering cutting edge graphics alongside a cutting-edge experience, one that brings with it an impressive story and gameplay experiences,” we stated in our review for DOOM Eternal at a 9 out of 10 on PlayStation 4.
