The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes announced

While The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope is still stirring up scares, Bandai Namco and Supermassive Games have revealed its follow-up title, House of Ashes.

Only a few short days after the release if The Dark Picutres Anthology: Little Hope, Bandai Namco and Supermassive Games are already preparing for the next big hit, which will ship in 2021.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes will be released on all PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. House of Ashes is the third installment in the overall series, taking players on another large and terrifying trip through the horror series with the Curator leading players along.

Players will take the role of Rachel King, a CIA field operative who joins an elite military unit raid on a suspected underground chemical weapons facility in the shadow of the Zagros Mountains. During their operation, King and the unit are ambushed by an enemy patrol led by Sergeant Salim Othman.

During their encounter, an earthquake rattles the area, opening sinkholes around them, leading to both sides being taken underground into the ruins of a buried Sumerian temple where an ancient evil is awakened by the two factions. Can King and her enemies survive the strange and deadly creatures that await them? Well. Possibly.

“We are thrilled to reveal this third game within The Dark Pictures Anthology. Like the previous stories, House of Ashes will bring a brand-new story and cast of characters to players, with its own unique twists and turns, and a new threat for the characters to face. We can’t wait to share more details about the story!” said Pete Samuels, CEO of Supermassive Games.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ash will launch in 2021. You can check out the first official trailer today on YouTube.
