QuakeCon at Home details officially announced for next weekend

With QuakeCon 2020 having been delayed due to concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, Bethesda has officially outlined their plans for the event, which includes in-home tournaments, giveaways, and plenty more. Here’s the details.

With QuakeCon 2020 having been turned into QuakeCon at Home, many people were unsure of what to expect when Bethesda revealed the event might be postponed or outright canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, Bethesda has found an alternative route to keep the spirit of QuakeCon alive: QuakeCon at Home.

To help kick off their annual event that was beginning to receive some details just a few weeks back is receiving even more ahead of its official launch. The event, as previously stated, kicks off on August 7th at 12pm ET and will wrap up at 11pm ET on August 9th.

The event will take place on the official Bethesda channel alongside a super team of streamers as a global Super Stream, which will feature live concerns, celebrity influencer streams, charity fundraising, developer panels, and plenty more over the course of the event.

Friday, August 7

  • QuakeCon Digital Welcome with Pete Hines: 12 p.m. ET
  • Representation in Video Games panel discussion: 5 p.m. ET
  • Prey Tell, an interview with Actress Janina Gavankar and Lead Producer Susan Kath: 6:00 p.m. ET
  • DOOM Eternal Panel with Hugo Martin & Marty Stratton: 7:30 p.m. ET

Saturday, August 8

  • CHAD: A Fallout 76 Story Podcast – QuakeCon at Home Edition: 3 p.m. ET
  • Dishonored Tabletop RPG featuring Arkane Studios’ Harvey Smith: 6 p.m. ET
  • ESO Stream with Top UFC Middleweight Rob Whittaker: 11 p.m. ET

Sunday, August 9

  • Fallout 76: Global Community Team Free Play: 8 a.m. ET
  • Dishonored Tabletop Continued!: 1 p.m. ET
  • Quake World Championship – Grand Finals: 5 p.m. ET
  • Watch Poiised get scared half to death playing The Evil Within: 9 p.m. ET

So how can you toss into this years Charity Events as well? Tune into the QuakeCon at Home Twitch stream, donate, and see your proceeds go to groups including the Direct Relief, UNICEF, NAACP Legal Defense Fund, and The Trevor Project.

Animal charities, of course, are returning so fans can support the kitties and puppets of Dallas Pets Alive and FOUR PAWS animal organizations. Both being long-time partners with Dallas animal adoption’s being available through Dallas Pets Alive and FOUR PAWS being a global animal welfare organization.f

The latter two will see proceeds from purchases of the exclusive “Dogvahkiin” and “Catodemon” t-shirts for sale, go directly to help our four legged furry friends in need through bouth the Dallas Pets Alive and FOUR PAWS organizations.

What is QuakeCon with out some goodies and some giveaways? There will also be giveaways taking place over the course of the weekend where players can snag free copies of some games, but also, even earn some through donating and watching official ESO Streams. You can check out the details down below:

  • QUAKE for Free! – Throughout the weekend of QuakeCon, players can login to Bethesda.net and obtain a free digital copy of the original Quake on the Bethesda launcher. You must be logged into your Bethesda.net account to claim the free game.
  • Donate for QUAKE II – If donations reach the $10,000 mark, players will be granted a free digital copy of QUAKE II on the Bethesda launcher at a point soon after the event.
  • ESO In-Game Pet – Watch any of the official ESO streams each day and you will receive a QuakeCon-unique Twitch Drop, the Flame Atronach Pony pet, in addition to Ouroboros Crown Crates! Make sure you link your ESO and Twitch accounts ahead of time to qualify.
  • DOOM Eternal QuakeCon Slayer Skin – DOOM Eternal players can access a free in-game QuakeCon Slayer Skin, icon, and player badge across all platforms. Available until August 11.
  • QUAKE Champions Railgun Skin – Claim a free, exclusive QuakeCon 2020 Railgun skin in QUAKE Champions.
  • Fallout 76 Sheepsquatch Outfit and Mr. Fuzzy Backpack Demonic Variants – Claim these free in-game items from the Atomic Shop all weekend during QuakeCon, available across all platforms.
