project_cars_3_stingray_01In a surprise announcement, Bandai Namco has revealed that Project Cars 3 is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One with a release window for this summer.

If you haven’t had a chance to experience the Project CARS franchise yet, well, you’re in luck, Bandai Namco has revealed that their third entry in the series will be launching for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam in summer 2020.

To show just how much bigger, better and badder this one is, Project CARS 3 will feature over 200 elite-brand road and race-cars, over 140 global circuits to complete with 24-hour cycles and, well, you guessed it, all-4-season, and all-weather racing to be had across the vibrant world of racing.

Bandai Namco and Slightly Mad Studios have revealed a few new additions coming to the game, including the ability to create your own racing persona, a redeveloped controller experience, with fully scalable assists, a revamped model for handling that will be as fun and convincing as ever, and well, the full authenticity that comes with a true-to-the-core racing experience.

“It’s been quite a journey watching the Project CARS franchise go from strength to strength these last five years, and we’re delighted to finally lift the wrap on Project CARS 3,” said Ian Bell, founder and CEO, Slightly Mad Studios. “While realism and authenticity continue to be at the core of the franchise, we’ve added a host of new options to ensure that Project CARS 3 is also the most accessible game in the franchise’s history. We really couldn’t be more excited to show off our new Project CARS game to both fans of the franchise and those who are ready to experience racing at its very best.”

Currently, only a release window has been revealed for Project CARS 3. We will keep you up-to-date as new information about the upcoming title is released.
