Wired Productions and independent studio, Camel 101, are gearing fans up for the official launch of Those Who Remain on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. They’ve also announced a special plan for the release of their game.
If you’ve been waiting for a first-person psychological-thriller to keep you busy until the official launch of Those Who Remain for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, your wait is almost over as the game will launch on May 28th, 2020, in digital formats.
The digital release will be accompanied by a physical release this Summer alongside a Nintendo Switch edition of the game. Those Who Remain will feature a retail-exclusive Deluxe Edition for both PlayStation 4 and PC, which will be accompanied by a beautifully illustrated comic prequel story, Those Who Remain: Lights Out.
“Those Who Remain is a game Camel 101 should be proud of,” said Leo Zullo, Managing Director, Wired Productions. “With the announcement of the digital release, we are set to offer fans of thrillers and adventure a unique supernatural experience. Later this summer, our offering expands with the retail-exclusive Deluxe Edition, and to compliment this, we’ll welcome Nintendo Switch owners to their own chilling adventure.”
Fans games such as Blair Witch from Bloober Team will take a trip to the sleepy town of Dormont from, a town in a spiraling split between the fabric of reality, warped by darkness and the deeds of the citizens who call Dormont home.
The town of Dormont will take players through a story-driven experience, one that combines a deeply atmospheric adventure where a tense psychological horror story will unfold and explore the depths of the human psyche. Players will take on the role of Edward, a man who has previously enjoyed the perfect life while he attempts to break off an affair in order to put his life back on the right track in order to live a better life.
However, he’s not aware of the darkness that calls Dormont home, the cause of the most recent disappearances in the town, one where he must confront the horrors that await him in the darkness and attempt to survive the night while he is there. A truly pleasing approach to a story, one where he will test his sanity, mortality, and the shadows that lurk about the town of Dormont.
Those of you looking for another unsuspecting story can prepare for the launch when Those Who Remain lands on PC Via Steam, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One for $19.99 on May 28th, 2020.
