Set to capture the hearts of gamers around the world as they explore the mysterious landscapes of Iceland, players will explore a story that takes root from various pieces of Nordic folklore. Now, it’s almost here and it’s almost ready for us to partake in.

If you enjoyed games such as Fe and Celeste, then there’s another on its way for you to enjoy, which comes in the form of Spirit of the North, a title that TechRaptor has already stated is “a journey well worth taking,” ahead of the games release on Thursday. In Spirit of the North, players will engage in a single-player 3rd-person adventure title that finds itself carefully crafted using parts of Nordic folklore to bring it to life.

In their adventure, players will take on the role of an ordinary fox whose fate becomes entwined with that of the guardian of the Northern Light, a female spirit fox. The journey will take you over the mountains, under red-stained skies, and left to explore a land left in ruin during the course of your adventure.

In this tale, you will traverse glaciers, the tundra, and mountainsides as you explore a foreboding world, one where a scarlet trail leads your fox forth alongside their all-new companion. Players will solve puzzles, each one changing the world about you while using mystic and ancient powers that have been bestowed upon you by the guardian of the Northern Lights.

The game will feature a beautifully orchestrated soundtrack featuring 14 original compositions while you discover the truth about a world of ruin left behind by a now-lost civilization. Those looking to partake in the tale can do so by pre-ordering their upcoming title on the Nintendo eShop starting today and will receive a 20% discount price on the game until May 20th in the United States.

Spirit of the North will be available for $24.99 and is available now for pre-order.
