Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme vs. Maxiboost On is coming to PS4 this July

In a surprise announcement, Bandai Namco has revealed that Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme vs. Maxiboost On will be headed to the Americas on July 30th, 2020, and has since revealed pre-order content as well as beta-registration information.

Set to release on July 30th, 2020, Gundam fans can prepare for the next biggest hit to come there way, which will see the 2-on-2 EXTREME VS mecha combat game, which took Japanese arcades by storm, heading to a PlayStation 4 near them this summer, just in time for fans to beat the summer heat with some Gundam action.

For those curious about how the GUNDAM universe-themed game will play, fans will be able to choose from 185 playable units from 36 different GUNDAM story arcs ranging from the original Mobile Suit Gundam all the way to Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blood Oprhans, which recently premiered on Netflix for fans to enjoy alongside Gundam Unicorn.

Fans interested in giving the try can prepare for an upcoming Closed Beta Test, which will be hosted by Bandai Namco from April 25th through April 27th, with registrations starting today through April 10th. Those chosen will be notified on April 17th, so that they can jump into the pre-download period, which opens from the 17th, through the 25th.

Bandai Namco has also revealed those that pre-order MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM EXTREME VS. MAXIBOOST ON early will receive a bonus playable mobile suit, the fierce Gundam Barbatos Lupus Rex from Iron Blood Orphans and piloted by Mikazuki Augus.
